China vessels have repeatedly conducted ‘routine patrols’ of Japan’s Senkakus this year

For the fifth time since New Year’s Day, Chinese maritime vessels forced their way into the waters within the 12 nautical miles of the Japanese-administered Senkaku islands, known in China as Diaoyudao. In the morning of Feb. 23, three Chinese maritime vessels, the Haijin 2102, Haijin 2113 and Haijin 2151, crossed the line and entered into Japanese waters.
