The rivalry between China and Japan includes the under-reported competition to build nuclear power plants. The March 2011 Fukushima nuclear meltdown has forced the Tokyo to shut down all nuclear power reactors in Japan, creating a strong incentive to export Japan’s first-rate nuclear power technology. So far, Turkey, Jordan and India, among others, have expressed strong interest.
