SEOUL — The circulation of U.S. dollars and Chinese yuan has significantly expanded in North Korea since Kim Jong-Un came to power in December 2011, according to news reports and sources here.

The failure of earlier reform measures and widespread jitters over the untested young leader apparently spurred the trend.
