North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un has increased his inspection tours of military units at the same time he has made a series of conciliatory gestures toward South Korea. Kim paid an “on-spot” guidance tour of Unit No. 323 and observed its exercise, the North’s official Korean Central News Agency said on Jan. 23. During the visit, Kim praised the soldiers for conducting the exercise and “set forth important tasks to be fulfilled” such as drills under simulated conditions of war.
