Rodman takes heat for failing to help release detained U.S. missionary

Former NBA basketball star Dennis Rodman, confronted by public opinion and media reports affected by the outraged family of an American held in North Korea, apparently realized belatedly that he had been used as a tool by the brutal communist regime in Pyongyang. Rodman apologized profusely in Beijing after he left North Korea on Jan. 13 for not helping to release detained U.S. missionary Kenneth Bae.
