Taiwan conducted provocative missile launch drill near Japan waters

The Taiwanese Navy on Sept. 26 launched a Standard-II anti-aircraft missile in a live fire missile launch drill. The missile was fired at less than 100 miles away from the Senkakus. Taiwan and Japan are both claiming the Senkaku islands, although a larger and more tense rivalry over the same island group is between Japan and China.
